1. Always set small goals. Small goals enable you to see feasible improvements because big goals are not easy to achieve. Many people quit because they don’t see results in short period of time or never work hard enough to achieve such big goals. Start with small goals and you will see how easy it is to shed those unwanted fat.

You need to choose healthy foods in order to lose weight permanently. Your determination is the key to weight loss success. Always avoid junk foods not for a day or two but for the long haul. Otherwise, most people will end up gaining more pounds than what they started with.

It is not easy to totally avoid junk food overnight, but you can replace it gradually. For example, from today onwards instead of eating butter replace it with peanut butter. Next day, replace burgers with lean meat. The day after tomorrow replace white breads with wholegrain breads.

You may not be able to accomplish all of these changes overnight, but you will be able to archive your goals if you do it slowly, bit by bit. Eventually you will completely replace your bad foods with the healthy foods, but without going through any stress or temptation!

2. Make changes to your bad habits. It’s always the bad eating habits that make us gain weight. However, breaking those bad habits is easier said than done. The only way is to modify the bad habits with good ones.

If you like to snack chocolate or cookies in the afternoon, try to replace them with low-fat yogurt and raw fruits.

3. Get rid of temptations. Unless you are able to control your temptations, it is not easy to lose weight successfully. One overwhelming temptation most people suffer from is that of food. Whenever you have the urge to eat, distract yourself by doing something such as walking or drinking a glass of water. All of these distractions will keep you away from food cravings.
